Love browsing the web like I do? Hate checking sites for updates when you have over 200 book marks? Here is your solution: RSS feeds. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndicate. Meaning a really simplified version of the info posted on a web site. Most sites that are blog oriented will have an RSS feed. Usually the link is stuffed into a tight corner and you’ll have to look for it. Subscribing to an RSS feed will let you keep tabs on all your favorite sites and tell you when they are updated. It’s really fun and it cuts down your browsing time being wasted on sites without updates.
Here I’m going to show how you subscribe to these RSS feeds and hopefully you’ll benefit from my advice…
If you know how to make a bookmark then you should know how to subscribe to a feed.
The first think you’ll wanna do (if your going to subscribe to more than one feed) is make a folder on your bookmarks bar.clicking that little book button will open up your bookmarks manager.
here is your bookmarks manager if your using Safari (available on Mac and Windows) click the second plus sign at the bottom to make a new bookmarks folder and name it RSS FEED. Click the little book button again and now your ready to get fed!

First go to your desired site. Or you could use the one your on right now just to learn how this all works
Scroll around till you see an RSS link or icon. Mine happens to be in the top right hand corner

Here is where you’ll click the RSS link. The browser will now show you a simplified version of the site you were just using

a little compare and contrast of the normal blog and the RSS version. Now that you’ve clicked the RSS link, look on the right hand side

click the link and a window will pop up.

Here is where you can customize the name of the feed and where it goes. click the
drop down arrow to open up more locations

select the RSS FEED folder we made earlier. Now when you look back up at your bookmarks bar you’ll see how many unread updates there are.

click the rss feed and the numbers will go away. They’ll return when that blog is updated with a new post. I have about ten RSS feeds that I try to keep track of regularly. It’s a nice way to keep up with the internet when it seems like information coming faster than you can get it
