Being brakeless, I like to slide my backend out to slow down. I’ve come to be quite good at it. Maybe.. a little to good. As I find myself sliding my tire around to slow down as easy as using brakes.

With that said, I found the Animal TWW tire to be perfect.  It would slide when I want it to, and grip when I needed it to. Maybe it has to do with it’s design. It seems the angled lines on the side help encourage the slide to slow down. It’s also really durable. Some tires would of been down to their threads with as much abuse I put on this tire.

TWW, Not to be confused with the Joe Cox masterpiece, Tomorrow We Work stands for Tom White Wall.. It’s Tom White’s signature tire. They come in white sidewall as well as all black. Mine, is right around a year old. I wore it way past the typical time I’d like to replace my tires. As you can see above I’ve got plenty of cuts in it.  I’ve only had a few flats with it, around average.

Durability: 9 / 10
Design: 9 / 10

conclusion: I love this tire. I tested a 2.0 in the back. I wish Animal made a 2.25 version because this would easily become my front tire of choice.  I’d recommend this tire to anyone who rides a lot of street or someone who rides trails and wants a smooth rear tire.
