Grizzed Toast.

Odyssey held a jam in Texas this past weekend called Texas Toast. A bunch of different bmx companies pulled together and made some really interesting stuff to ride. Our homie Paul Radosevich made it down to the jam. I’m Psyched he made it into ESPN’s photos from the event! Get that Grizz! There’s a bunch more photos from the jam over on the DIG site as well. I can’t wait to see a video of the full thing, But for now Props has a little video that shows the obstacle course and then the dirt practice sesion.

The Chariot: Long Live

Written by Matthew Smith. Filed under Music, Videos. Tagged , , , . No comments.

The Chariot has been one of my favorite bands for quite some time now. I’ve been listening to their older albums pretty frequently. And when Steiner showed me David De La Hoz from their fourth album, Long Live I got really pumped. The film is all one continuous clip with numerous instrument changes and line up switches. The amount of work that had to go into this production is amazing. Yea.

Welcome to the new look of the site. I’ve changed the site a lot through out the years but I’m finally stoked on this look. There’s a bunch of features that are easier to maintain and nicer for you guys to use. The first and probably easiest is Lightbox. Lightbox is when you click the photo and it expands to you in full size.

Matt Loughead invited me on a trip with the boys to the Massechusetts area. Above is a video of what footage we gatherd while up there. Below I posted some of the photos that were taken. You can find the rest of the photos on TheYea Flickr. The Trip was awesome. Everyone had a great time despite the lack of street spots and Mike’s knee puncture. I can’t wait for the next roadtrip. -Matt

Finished demo

Untitled Project – Song 3

A little update on the band. We’re hoping to have a set ready for this summer to play out. We have two other songs which are in the process of being recorded, and I’ll post them here as they’re finished. Still not any definite word on a vocalist, so the demos are instrumental, but we’re all stoked on how they came out. Anyone interested in trying out, you can find how to contact me below.

Also, if you are in need of recording, and like the sound of our recordings, please feel free to contact me as I am looking to record some bands, musicians or somebody who just wants to put some noise on the internet! Any genre, really!

Stefan and Simone in Barcelona.

One time while Marty and I were hanging out at Philly’s city hall, Stefan and a few of his friends walked up to us and asked us where FDR was. At that point I had no clue who he was or anything. Later, After riding with him, we found out he was on the Fly flow team and was over in the USA for the first time. He spent the night at Marty’s house and continued on his trip the next day.

After seeing some of the amazing riding from Stefan. It’s no surprise he’s now on Fly pro and also on Nike. A pleasure to watch for sure. Not to mention, Simone kills it in this as well. Happy Friday.
